Free Dropshipping Profit & Loss Template for Excel

A dropshipping store can look busy — orders coming in, ads running — while quietly losing money on every one of them. The only way to know for certain is a profit and loss statement that accounts for every cost that moves with an order, not just the product price and the ad spend.

This template lays out twelve months side by side. Enter orders, average order value, product cost, shipping, payment fees, ad spend, and returns for each month, and revenue, total costs, net profit, and net margin calculate themselves — with a yearly total column that blends the months you have filled in.

Mistakes this template is designed to prevent

Judging profit by ROAS alone

A 4x ROAS looks healthy until product cost, shipping, payment fees, and returns are subtracted. This sheet forces every one of those costs into the same view as the ad spend.

Leaving payment fees out entirely

A 2.9% + $0.30 fee looks trivial per order and is not: at a $25 average order value it is close to 4% of revenue, every single order, with no exceptions.

Forgetting fixed costs are still costs

Apps, subscriptions, and contractor hours do not show up on a per-order profit calculation, but they come out of the same bank account. This template allocates them monthly so they are never quietly excluded.

Dropshipping Profit & Loss Template FAQ

The template is free. Keeping fifty of them in sync is the problem.

A spreadsheet works until there are eleven versions of it and nobody knows which one the supplier filled in. SupplyAutomate keeps purchase orders, supplier documents, shipments, and landed costs in one workspace that updates as the order moves.
