An assistant that answers you

Ask what is late, what an order really cost, or whether a supplier raised its price. It reads your own records and answers in seconds.

Every cost traced to a document

Each invoice, freight bill and duty entry we file lands on the order and moves your cost per unit, with the original one click away.

Your suppliers and 3PL in the same place

They collaborate on the same records our team does, so nothing important lives in a WeChat thread you cannot see.

What it costs you today

Importing is a full-time job you never applied for.

Most founders we speak to spend the better part of two days a week on this, and none of those hours grow the brand. Priced at $75 an hour, here is what each of those jobs is costing you every month.

6 hrsa week

Chasing the factory

Messages sent at midnight so they land in the morning in Ningbo, then re-sent on Thursday because nobody replied.

Costing you$1,950/mo
4 hrsa week

Rebuilding the tracker

The spreadsheet that holds quantities, deposits, ship dates and cartons, which is only ever correct on the day you touch it.

Costing you$1,300/mo
3 hrsa week

Freight and customs

Quoting forwarders, forwarding the bill of lading, answering the broker, checking the entry did not sit at the port.

Costing you$975/mo
5 hrsa week

The thing that went wrong

A carton count that does not match, a label rejected at the 3PL, a shipment that missed the cutoff before a holiday.

The hours are what founders importing three to ten containers a year tell us they spend. $75 an hour is a deliberately conservative price on a founder's time. Put your own number in and the shape of it does not change.

What we take off you

Five stages. All of them, not the easy ones.

Plenty of agencies will source a product for you and disappear at the port. We run the order from the day you decide to buy to the day the units are receivable at your warehouse.

  1. Stage 1 of 5

    We place the order

From your forecast to a signed PO with the right terms on it.

    • Requote your existing suppliers and hold them to the price you agreed
    • Purchase order raised, terms confirmed, deposit invoice checked before you pay
    • Ship dates, MOQ, carton specs and barcodes written into the order, not assumed
  2. Stage 2 of 5

    We chase production

Weekly contact with the factory so a slip is news in week two.

    • Production milestones tracked against the date on the PO
    • Photos and updates pulled out of WeChat and filed against the order
    • Delays escalated to you with options, not with an apology after the fact
  3. Stage 3 of 5

    We inspect before it ships

Third-party inspection at the factory while the goods can still be fixed.

    • Pre-shipment inspection booked and briefed against your own spec sheet
    • Quantity, workmanship, packaging, barcodes and carton marks all checked
    • Report and photos sent to you, with the shipment held until you are happy
  4. Stage 4 of 5

    We move the freight

China to your 3PL, booked, documented and cleared.

    • Sea or air quoted against your dates, with the tradeoff explained in dollars
    • Booking, bill of lading, commercial invoice and packing list handled
    • Customs broker instructed, duty and tariff classification confirmed up front
  5. Stage 5 of 5

We land it at your 3PL

Delivered, received and reconciled, with the real cost per unit at the end.

    • Delivery appointment booked with your 3PL or FBA inbound plan created
    • Receipt reconciled against the packing list, shortages raised with the supplier
    • Landed cost per unit closed out across goods, freight, duty and prep
Who is actually doing it

A US-based team, writing in your language, in your time zone.

The reason outsourcing goes wrong is almost never the work. It is that you cannot tell what is happening. Every update you get here is written by someone you can call.

You talk to one person

A named US-based supply chain manager who knows your SKUs, your season and your 3PL. Not a ticket queue and not a different account handler every month.

They work your hours and theirs

Your manager is reachable in your working day and deals with the factory in theirs. Nothing waits overnight for a translation.

They have run these lanes before

Ex-operators who have placed the orders, walked the factories and argued with the forwarders. That is why the questions they ask your supplier are the right ones.

Why smaller brands outsource this

You need the function, not the headcount.

A brand doing a few hundred thousand a month has a real supply chain and nothing like enough volume to justify a supply chain hire. That gap is the whole reason this exists.

Before you hand it over

What brands ask us first

Do you take a percentage of my orders?
No. It is a flat $989 a month whether you place one purchase order or twenty, and whether those orders are worth $20,000 or $400,000. Goods, freight, duty and inspection fees are paid at cost, with the third-party invoice attached to the order in your account so you can see exactly what was charged. We never mark those up and we never take a commission on them, which means we have no incentive for your goods to cost more.
Do I keep my own suppliers?
Yes, and the relationship stays in your name. We work with the factories you already use, on the terms you already have. If you leave, you take every supplier, price list and contact with you, and everything we have filed in the platform stays in your account. We are not a middleman standing between you and your factory.
Can you find new suppliers as well?
We will requote your existing suppliers, run competitive quotes against a category you are already in, and vet a factory you are considering. What is not covered by the $989 is sourcing a brand new product line from nothing, which is a different piece of work with a different shape. Tell us what you have in mind on the call and we will be straight about which one it is.
Is the inspection actually independent?
Yes. Inspections are carried out by a third-party inspection agency at the factory before the goods ship, against your own spec sheet rather than a generic checklist. You get the full report and the photographs, and nothing ships until you have seen them. The agency fee is billed to you at cost.
Who is on the team, and where are they?
Your day-to-day contact is a US-based supply chain manager who has run import programs before. They handle your suppliers, your forwarder, your broker and your 3PL directly. You get their name and their calendar, not a shared inbox, and everything they do is written down in your account rather than sitting in a WeChat thread you cannot see.
What size brand is this for?
It fits best somewhere between your first repeat order and your first supply chain hire, which for most of our clients is roughly $50k to $1m of goods bought a year. Below that the software on its own is usually enough. Above that we will tell you honestly when it makes more sense to bring someone in-house and use SupplyAutomate Pro to run them.
How quickly can you take over?
About two weeks from the call. Week one we pull your open orders, suppliers, terms and documents into the platform and get introduced to your factories. Week two we start running the next order. Your existing shipments in flight are picked up as they are, not restarted.
What if I want to run it myself later?
Then you do, and nothing has to be rebuilt. The account, the orders, the documents, the supplier threads and the landed-cost history are all yours already. Move to Pro at $99 a month, or to Free, and carry on from exactly where we left it. There is no contract and no notice period.

Questions about the software rather than the service are on the main FAQ, and the plans are on pricing.
